The Chairman of Yoruba Tennis Club, Professor Tokunbo Fabamwo has disclosed that its youth championship, which was conceived by the club’s trustee, Alhaji Lateef Olufemi Okunu, has so far produced talents now competing at the international level.
Speaking at the 19th edition of the championship for secondary schools in Lagos State, Fabamwo revealed that efforts were being made to reinforce the competition to achieve more on its objectives.
He said Yoruba Tennis Club would in due course organize triangular and quadrangular tournaments with sister clubs to promote Nigerian tennis.
He said the club was poised to fish out more hidden talents and give them the platform to hone their skills.
