All members will act as environmental stewards, ensuringproper waste disposal throughout the course, clubhouse, and surrounding areas,” Babayostated.This new leadership comes with a refreshing perspective on environmental stewardship.Babayo’s declaration to make every member an “environmental police” is a clear indicationof the seriousness with which this new administration takes waste management. By ensuringstrict compliance with waste disposal protocols, the club aims to set a new benchmark forenvironmental responsibility among golf clubs in the region.But Babayo’s vision extends beyond just cleanliness and environmental initiatives.

He recognizes the need for the club to evolve financially as well. “To elevate the quality of our infrastructure and services, we will pursue strategic partnerships with both public and private entities. We plan to leverage our existing relationships to attract corporate sponsors and secure substantial sponsorship deals,” he explained. This approach signifies a strategic shift from relying solely on membership fees to a more sustainable and diversified revenuemodel.The club’s infrastructure is set for a major overhaul. Babayo plans to invest in upgrading the facilities to ensure they meet international standards. These events are expected to put the club on the map as a premier golfing destination.Joining Babayo in this transformation are new executive members: James Eromosele (vice captain), former NAPTIP Chief Executive Officer Dame Julie Donli (lady captain), Bolarin Aliyu-Faniyan (secretary), Gabriel Aremu (treasurer), Niyi Laoye (house and maintenance officer), Dr. Olanrewaju Phillips (social and welfare officer), Babatunde Aremu Ojerinde(course officer), and Ashir Michael Tarfa (competition secretary). Each of these individuals brings a wealth of experience and expertise to their respective roles, further strengthening the leadership team.James Eromosele, the vice-captain, expressed his enthusiasm about the upcoming changes.

Members Will see significant improvements in the condition of our facilities,” he said.Dr. Olanrewaju Phillips, the social and welfare officer, outlined plans for member engagement.

“We are organizing a variety of social events and activities that will foster a sense of community among our members. Our goal is to create a vibrant and dynamic club atmosphere,” he shared.Babatunde Aremu Ojerinde, the course officer, talked about the enhancements to the golf course. “We are investing in the latest technology and equipment to ensure our golf course is in pristine condition. Members can look forward to an exceptional golfing experience,” hestated.Ashir Michael Tarfa, the competition secretary, announced plans for upcoming tournaments.
