In a heartfelt act of generosity, Apapa Club 1930 recently carried out a remarkable charitable outreach, touching lives across its community. Demonstrating its commitment to love and kindness, the club extended support to an orphanage, a hospital, and the less privileged in the area.
As part of the initiative, the club donated essential supplies, including ₦300,000, two bags of rice, and various other necessities, to the Ijora Orphanage Home and the General Hospital, Apapa. Additionally, they provided food and refreshments to the underprivileged at Waterside, ensuring that everyone felt included in the spirit of the season.
The event was attended by esteemed dignitaries, including the Executive Local Government Chairman, Hon. Idowu Adejumoke Senbanjo; prominent entertainer Charlie Boy; and billionaire businessman Oscar Ibru, all of whom commended the club’s dedication to uplifting the community.

Speaking on the occasion, the President of Apapa Club 1930, Barr. Chuks Nwana, Esq., emphasized the club’s guiding principle: One Big Happy Family. He remarked, “This initiative reflects our belief that everyone deserves love and kindness, especially on Valentine’s Day. By giving back, we are reinforcing the unity and strength of our community.”
Vice President Hon. Benjamin Mokwunye echoed these sentiments, stating, “This outreach exemplifies our club’s deep commitment to spreading love. Beyond donations, we want those in need to feel that they are part of a larger family a community that cares about them.”
Entertainment Secretary Mr. Uche Aninye also expressed his pride in the club’s mission, saying, “It’s an honor to be part of a club that is resilient, forward-thinking, and focused on making a difference.
