Rafiu Kolawole and Austin Aigbotsua showcased their golf prowess at the Ikeja Golf Club’s 2024 Captain’s Day tournament, emerging as winners in their respective categories. The week-long event featured a range of competitions, including veterans, Super veterans, and Men’s winner handicap categories.In the Veterans’ category, Kolawole claimed victory with an impressive 39 gross in NETT, while Aigbotsua secured the Best Gross category with a stellar performance of 84 gross.

The Handicap Men’s 20 and above category saw Seun Aderibigbe clinching the top position with 92 gross in Men’s Best Gross, while Niyen Ezomo emerged as the champion in Men’s NETT.In the Handicap men’s 0-19 category, Rasaki Muritala emerged as the winner in Men’s Best Gross with a total of 72 gross, while Bedemi Ojo claimed victory in Men’s NETT. In the Ladies category, Remi Olufadebo emerged as the winner in Ladies’ NETT, with Lynda Obieze securing the Best Gross category.

The highlight of the closing ceremony was the presentation of awards not only to the recent champions but also to all past captains of the club, acknowledging their invaluable contributions to the Ikeja Golf Club’s rich history. This spirit of recognizing past and present excellence embodies the club’s dedication to its members and its legacy.
