The literary community is set to spotlight the newest works of renowned management and turnaround expert, Dr. Dakuku Peterside, as the Nigerian Literary Society (NLS) partners with the Port Harcourt Club for a special reading and conversation event.Scheduled for December 7, 2025, at the Port Harcourt Club, the event will feature a book reading, panel discussion, and signing session with the author.
The two featured titles- Beneath The Surface and Leading In The Storm will be examined in depth, with discussions moderated by Alekiri Maureen Amadi-Ejimofor and Awolanye Banigo.In a joint statement, Dr. David Chukwueke, Curator of the Nigerian Literary Society, and Chief Henry Okoli, Captain of the Club’s Book Section, emphasized that the gathering will provide readers with an opportunity to uncover the inspirations behind Peterside’s writings.
It will also shed light on the essential competencies needed for effective crisis leadership in today’s rapidly changing world.Since their official launches in Abuja and Lagos, the books have attracted widespread acclaim from global scholars including faculty from Harvard Business School and the Kellogg School of Management as well as praise from governors, diplomats, industry leaders, and academics.
These endorsements further affirm Peterside’s growing influence as a leading voice in leadership, management, and public governance.Beyond his notable tenure as the former Director-General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), Dr. Peterside continues to expand his international footprint.
