Rotimi Aina joined Lagos Country Club in 2004, exemplifying selfless service in his two-decade sojourn in the enclave. He didn’t just serve in different capacities across sections, he also deployed his professional expertise as a Chartered Stock Broker to become a rallying point on matters of stock investment. “The club has really changed significantly,” he said as he reflected during his 60th birthday, a milestone party which drew a large gathering of club members.
“What I found fascinating about the club is the comradeship of members,” he says, adding that he was motivated to join the club in his desire for quality friendship.

His interactions with the club, especially at the sectional level, have paid off. He used the club platform to lubricate his clientele: whether harvesting from within or setting up meetings with non-members at the club’s enhanced facilities. “I used the club as an avenue to connect with my clients where business transactions are discussed.”
Trading on the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange is his major portfolio, but he is also versed in Financial Statement Analysis, Equity Valuation, Wealth Management Essentials among others.
An Accountancy graduate and holder of MBA from Olabisi Onabanjo University in Ogun State, Mr. Aina is a thoroughbred “Trader,” Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers who upholds the principles of work life balance. He belongs to four sections – Table Tennis, Swimming, Scrabble and Other Games, and is active in all four.

He served as the Entertainment Officer in Scrabble Section for 3 years and is currently the Entertainment Officer of Table Tennis Section. He has also held non-portfolio functions such as Chairman of Table Tennis Section Electoral Panel, Member of the Electoral Panel of Swimming and Member of the Electoral Panel of the Main Club
He is visible in several Club Committees including Member of the Club New Year Organising Committee and Member of Food and Catering Sub-committee.
As the General Manager of Signet Investments and Securities Limited, his hands are full with stock trading and ancillary services, but he has been able to strike a balance considering his huge role as Entertainment Officer of a large section like Table Tennis that revels round the clock.


“My Club activities do not have any negative impact on my business and work as most of the club’s activities are done after close of work,” he said. According to him, been an active member and being visible in your games are important, so also is utilizing the club platform for business networking, he added.
