Ibadan Recreation Club hosts second edition of Ajelewa Trade Fair

Ibadan Recreation Club is currently playing host to the second edition of the South West Local Government Trade Fair otherwise known as Ajelewa 2.0, at the Club’s exhibition ground in Adamasingba, Ibadan.

Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Barr. Bayo Lawal, represented by the State’s Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Barrister Olasunkanmi Olaleye, performed the official opening in the ancient city.

The Trade Fair is put together by BTG Africa, Dawn Commission, Odua Chambers of Commerce, All Farmers Association of Nigeria (AFAN), Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN), Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) and Miners Association of Nigeria.

Commending the organizers for their foresight and aspirations in facilitating attention to non-oil opportunities, the deputy governor stated that the Federal Government couldn’t raise enough revenue from crude oil in the outgoing Year.

Lawal assured the organizers of the event of government’s support and participation in the exhibition in line with Governor Seyi Makinde’s unrelenting effort on the economy

Present at the event were the Honorable Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development represented by Dr Kakulu Florence; Permanent Secretary of Ondo State Ministry of Agriculture, Mrs. Akinola Funmilayo and her counterpart from Ogun State Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment, Mr. Babatunde Abatan amongst others.
